Star looked to Asher in surprise. Only one other wolf had done this type of thing before, and that hadn't turned out well. She hesitated. Then slowly, she moved towards the deer. She returned his smile with one of her own. "Thank you," she said, then with a final pause began to strip the skin from the doe and began to eat.

Asher nodded again, and then simply waited while StarFire ate. He shifted his gaze toward the trees, not wanting to rush her by staring at her. Asher had also considered talking about his pack again, but quickly decided against it. Star probably did not want such a disturbance while she ate, so he stayed silent. Maybe after they had both eaten she would be more willing to talk again.

Star was wondering about the same thing while she ate. Should she join? Or no? Best to not worry about it now, she thought to herself, maybe after. StarFire pushed the thoughts away and concentrated on eating. Star eventually finished and stepped back.

Seeing that StarFire had finished, Asher stood again and approached the deer. He was not awfully hungry, but he could eat. After stopping just before the deer, Asher leaned his head down and began to eat. It had been a while since he had last eaten deer, and he realized he had begun to miss the taste of it.

StarFire watched him for a moment before looking away. It had been some time, hunting with another. Normally she was antisocial, but things changed over time. Asher, she thought, was more friendly than most. At least, to her standards. Star glanced quickly at Asher, studying him for a moment before looking back at the trees. What would happen if she joined a pack? She would have to ask Asher.

When Asher had finally finished eating, he stepped away from the deer. He then licked his muzzle to clean what blood he could off of it, and turned back to StarFire. She seemed to be lost in thought as she stared at the trees, but Asher had found that to be a common thing with her. He wondered if she had given any more consideration to his pack that he had relentlessly pestered her with. "So, Miss..," he asked, "What happens now?"

StarFire almost jumped when he started talking, but turned to face Asher. She looked down, frowning thoughtfully. "I'm not sure," she said truthfully, as she didn't know whether to join his pack or keep living on her own. Both had their ups and downs, but StarFire didn't know which one she would rather.

Asher gazed at StarFire with a thoughtful expression, preparing to ask her a question which she would most certainly say no to. He slowly sat himself down again, and then raised his head slightly. "I might have an idea, then," He said, then taking a moment to put his thoughts in order. "You come with me back to my pack, meet my alphess, and then decide whether or not you want to stay with us. Any objections, lady?"

StarFire hesitated. She could see the appeal in his idea, but was hesitant all the same. "I guess... I guess that works," She said, still thinking about it. Given time, she would probably change her mind.
